Veils, Marks, and the Cosmic Memory of Wholeness

On painting as a pathway to sacred healing

Perhaps something in my work speaks to you—quietly, without words.

If so, I offer these writings
by way of an invitation
into the sensory, tactile inner space
that I call me.

Each painting begins as an unnamed journey,
evidenced only by the soft residue
of the line and pigment it leaves behind:
form gently embedded into layers of paint,
and into the endless layers of time.

Veils offering themselves as vessels,
as Chariklo, to hold,
and as Chiron,
to heal the memory
of a universal hurt.

Small circles of white
form halos around
seemingly unremarkable marks,
in full honouring and recognition
of their existence.

Illuminating, clearing, soothing, sanctifying—
all quiet acts of care.

The slow, deliberate curation of these marks,
not just a metaphor for spiritual healing,
but a living action:
white as breath,
and as the holding vessel for story.

And so a rhythm emerges.
Order rises gently from the chaos.
Shadows are illuminated,
and marks are held.

Spirit made visible
through layer upon layer
of gesso and ash,
seed, pigment, and line.
